If you missed it on Detective ArchivesTuesday because you were too busy watching the U.S. presidential election, here it is again: GoPro is recalling 2,500 of its recently launched Karma drones. In other words, all of them.
GoPro said "in a very small number of cases, Karma units lost power during operation." And there have been no reports of injuries or property damage. GoPro's urging all Karma owners to return their drones and get a refund.
SEE ALSO: Everyone is giving up on GoProThough the company's working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission for the recall, there will (inevitably) be some customers who refuse to comply, just as some people refused to give up their Galaxy Note7s.

But I would argue a quadcopter that flies in the sky and could suddenly lose power is just as dangerous as a phone that could explode in your pocket and burn your house down.

If these don't scare people into returning their Karma drones, I'm not sure what will. I'm just glad nobody got hurt as their drone crashed down like a meteor.
