WeRide’s self-driving taxis have also completed route mapping at Zurich Airport in preparation for additional applications in Switzerland, the company said in a statement. Each of WeRide’s robo-buses can accommodate up to nine passengers. A safety driver will be on board during the initial phase, serving airport employees along a dedicated route connecting the employee entrance at Gate 101 to the maintenance area at Gate 130.
