At CES 2025,Hong Kong Archives Lenovo unveiled the Legion Go S handheld gaming PC, initially priced at $499.99 and running SteamOS. However, during its recent pre-sale on Best Buy, the price was adjusted to $549.99, with the device set for release on May 25. The handheld features a non-detachable controller section and an 8-inch LCD display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It supports 97% DCI-P3 color gamut, 10-point touch, and VRR variable refresh rate. The device is equipped with either AMD’s newly launched Ryzen Z2 Go processor or the Z1 Extreme processor, offering up to 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. The Legion Go S handheld will debut Valve’s SteamOS, and a Windows version is also available. The Windows model comes in white, while the SteamOS version features a purple design. [The Verge]
