Customers who put down their orders and completed the payment process before Nov. 8 will receive a rebate, a move set to avoid a potential Chinese consumer backlash, financial media outlet Yicai reported. Volkswagen is also delaying the launch of the second ID.UX model, initially designed with its Modular Electric Drive Matrix (MEB) platform, from next year to 2026 company sources told local media outlet AutoPix on Nov. 8.
